COUNTY WIDE SPELLING BEE
Northwest Kidder Middle School was well represented at the County Wide Spelling Bee on Tuesday, March 14th at the Western Community Arts Center.  Out of 57 spellers county wide, eighth grader Harshita Rathod placed 2nd, and Karson Schroeder placed eleventh.  Both students performed extremely well and we are very proud of their efforts.

This year our recognition is “steppin” up our game. We will be recognizing our students who are showing acts of kindness and integrity by announcing their names and posting a foot with a description of what they did on a bulletin board in our 8th grade hallway.

The following students have received a recognition FOOT this week:

WASHINGTON DC TRIP
All emergency contact forms and medication forms has been handed out this week. These forms MUST be turned in by April 12th. The WHITE Emergency Information sheet MUST be filled out and returned to Mrs. Szymanski in order for your student to travel. The GREEN Medication Form is for prescription medication. This is any medication that your student takes prescribed from a doctor any time during the day. This form requires a physician’s signature. The YELLOW form is for over-the-counter medications, including vitamins, allergy medication, etc. This form also needs a physicians’ signature. If either of the forms are already on file with the school, just turn in the sheet with a note attached and I will copy it from the office.

A doctor’s signature for any kind of medication is a school board policy and will be enforced. On the trip, we are responsible for the welfare of your student and we’ll make sure that they are getting anything that they need to be able to be function every day.

There will be a one and only travel information parent meeting that will be held on Wednesday, April 12 at KMS Cafeteria from 6 to 7PM. Please make every attempt to ATTEND. I will be handing out final paperwork and going over everything you need to know about this trip.
